Snowshoeing...another winter adventure

Friday afer school we went snowshoeing in the Irishtown Nature Park.

It was a magical experience- check out these trees!
And we were the only people there!

Pond hockey

Beautiful Saturday afternoon spent playing
pond hockey with friends.

Benjamin, Carys and even Summer loved it!

We had the whole pond to ourselves

Two hours later- a  happy but tired bunch!

Snow storm means we were snowed in this morning!

Benjamin was thrilled to learn we had extra time this morning so
he could work on his valentine treats!

Nothing, not even 30+ cms of snow could stop
this hockey player from getting to the rink on time.

Carys decided to get cozy in her
warm sweater which was a Christmas
present from Nanny and Gramps.

Zachary decided to work on his
teacher's Valentine gift.

This is what poor "Summer" had to face first thing this morning!
She was not happy.

It took Mark over an hour to get the cars cleaned off and driveway
passable so that Jonah could get to hockey and then we could
get to church.

After the storm the sun came out!
Zachary made a huge fort.

Carys and her friend Hayley had

their fort.

No Kindergarten today means the girls get to play!

Carys didn't have Kindergarten today so we planned a morning of fun!

Early school closure (due to a snow storm) meant lots of fun at home this afternoon!  Zachary was at a birthday party but B's good friend Josh was here to fill the gap! 

The gang decided to form a band. 
2 recorders + 2 slide whistles + 1 saxophone
+ 1 clarinet + 1 tin whistle + 1 trumpet
= a LOT of noise!!

Friday after school.....

Jonah couldn't wait to hop into bed and read one of his
new libary books- he finished it 30 minutes later!

Zachary came home from school and got right into getting ready for his
big game tonight- Gatorade and a hearty meal!

Carys has been to the doctor's so many times this month that
she is now an "expert" and decided to examine Summer.
Her diagnosis- she's definitely a crazy puppy!



Benjamin as usual was all smiles after school today.
The school band started back up at lunch so he had an extra special Friday!

Sugarloaf

This was the view from the top of Sugarloaf.  Upper Timberline was the name of the trail.  Here, we were above the treeline and most days you could hardly see because of the wind and blowing snow.  The boys thought that was really cool! 
We had a wonderful week skiing.
Unfortunately, we're having trouble uploading our pics from that trip- hopefully we'll be able to post more soon!

Christmas Eve 2011

happy new year everyone

On New Year's Eve we had some friends come over for dinner. My mom made a really good supper. For dessert my mom made her lava cakes again. Then we were off to a Wild Cats game. The game was really good! The Wild Cats lost to the Sea Dogs in a shoot out. We went to bed really late that night. I think that 2010 will be a great year!

Merry Christmas

We had a wonderful Christmas!
We got up early in the morning and looked to see what Santa brought us. He brought us some treats, some Lego, some toys and a new pair of portable phones because our other ones broke. Then we ate breakfast. After breakfast we opened the presents under the tree. I liked them all but my parents really surprised me by giving me a DSi. Also my mom would like me to mention that her supper was really good! Hee hee! She says it was very easy to make but that's hard to believe because it was so good. Her lava cake was amazing. I hope you all had a Merry Christmas!

our new house

This year we sold our house and now we are building a new one. It's only about three kilometers away from our old house. The picture on the right is a picture of me in my room in the basement. The one on the left is a picture of the mechanical room which is right beside my room. I hope that they do a little more work on our house before we move in to it!
